It was not Sarah Palin booed on Dancing With the Stars

Considering how much attention she has received, it isn’t often that a person might see Palin booed. It seemed she was, though. She attended a recent episode of “Dancing with the Stars” and appeared to be booed. At least, it seemed to happen, as it could have effortlessly been something else. After all, she should have been there as Bristol Palin is one of the contestants. It’s not a bad start for Bristol Palin at all, as she is routinely among the top scores.

Viewers didn’t boo Palin

Certainly, Palin has a good reason for being there. Bristol is on “Dancing with the Stars”. Throughout the show, Jennifer Grey got critiqued by the judges, and a round of boos came from the audience, according to USA Today. The camera panned and zoomed toward the most judges table through the boos, but there sat one of the most famous loser of an election in history. Even Tom Bergeron, one of the show’s judges, said the boos were not for Palin. He insisted, when he was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel’s show, the boos were from the score the panel gave Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough. Palin actually got applause from the audience.

By the numbers

Bristol Palin actually did fairly well. She scored a 22. Squarely at the top of the middle range of standing sits Bristol Palin, so she’s safe. People who would have rather someone turned on Slayer than Michael Bolton in the 80s are getting their wish. Bolton, as outlined by the Los Angeles Times, scored a 12. Unfortunately, when a man or a woman does not like someone’s performance, that person gets sent home. That seems to be next in line for Bolton. A score of 21 went to both Rick Fox and Kurt Warner, as the pro athletes on this year are doing well. Florence Henderson, “The Situation,” and Margaret Cho rounded out the bottom, ahead of Michael Bolton.

Not the saddest season yet

So far, this season is off to a flying start. The appearance of the most famous state first daughter within the nation is certainly going to boost ratings. No one, as the line from “Dirty Dancing” goes, puts “Baby” in a corner. It seems Jennifer Grey has her dance skills still from filming that iconic role.
